Outburst over Ricky's Hollywood remarks
Quote:
Simon Pegg has launched an uncharacteristic attack on Ricky Gervais, calling him an 'idiot' and 'fat'.

The unprovoked jibes came when the Spaced star was asked in a radio interview to compare his Hollywood experiences to Gervais’s.

He replied tartly: 'He says a lot of things, that man. He said there'd been no good British films since 1950. What an idiot.'

'If you go to LA, you can get sucked into that.

'I've seen people go there and suddenly become rake thin because there is a slight pressure on you to be thin. I've also seen a lot of fat people there.'

Heart 106.2 DJ Jamie Theakston joked that Gervais was apparently not feeling under any pressure to be thin – to which Pegg replied: ‘He's one of the fat people in LA, yes.’

Pegg was speaking to the London radio station’s breakfast show to promote his new movie How To Lose Friends And Alienate People.

In other news, the sky is reported to be blue, and apparently humans breath air!
