New series for CBBC
| Quote: | Tim Fitzhigham is to front a ten-part children’s BBC show tracking down real-life ‘superheroes’.
The comic, known for adventures such as rowing the English Channel in a bathtub and blowing up the world’s largest human-inflated balloon, will track down amazing individuals in the CBBC show Superhumans.
He will then test himself against people dubbed the real-life Iceman, Daredevil, Incredible Hulk, Spiderman, The Flash and Batboy.
The BBC says that over the course of the half-hour programmes: ‘Tim learns how the human body copes in extreme situations - and how some individuals have the ability to do superhuman things against the odds.’
Fitzhigham will make the shows with BBC Scotland after completing his current tour of Australia as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow.
The programme forms part of a raft of new entertainment and factual commissions by CBBC.
