Does anyone know if there are any decent Blogs about the theory side of stand-up?

Preferably a Blog that might post articles about dealing with such things as hecklers, and structuring various types of jokes, but from several people who don't all have the same POV.

I'm doing some research for something and would love to have a POV that might be different or new to me.

Don't know if it will help but stu goldsmith does a podcast and interviews other comedians about how they get there jokes, how they deal with hecklers, etc etc.. its really good anyway http://www.comedianscomedian.com/ but not be anything like what you're looking for but it just well might be exactly what you're looking for.

Our website has been posting up some fun articles recently about history of comedy, interviews with various different comedians and stuff like that.

So that might be somewhere to look, though I guess being a London comedy club's website it's more from a comedy club / London angle than from a performer's perspective or looking at the whole uk scene.

If I might make a comment, Jim, I think this article is badly worded.

http://www.99clubcomedy.com/home.html

"In honour of our receiving the 2011 Chortle Award for Best London Club we've put together a brief history of the Comedy Club in London..."

I think what you mean is the history of "comedy clubs" in London.
The article is unclear due to the use of the definate article.
On first reading it I got the impression you were something to do with Don Ward ... it is only on close inspection that I realised the article actually says nothing of the sort. Which is probably just accidental bad phrasing but it doesn't read clearly. Also I believe some other promoter is currently using the unimaginative moniker of the "London Comedy Club" which made it even more confusing and would avoid it for that reason...? Not that we at the Pear Shaped Comedy would do anything as naughty as writing articles about people who dont gig for us any more or are dead in order to push ourselves up the google listings.
