Anyone catch Live at the Electric ? Wasnt it cool, hip ,funky and crude?
Unfortunately my tv spontaneously combusted after about 2 minutes of the opening by Russel Kane...Anyone else watch it?

I enjoyed it all. My gf didn't like Joe Wilkinson's bits but I thought they were ok. I've seen Two Episodes of Mash before and really enjoyed them and I'm not sure the format here suited them as the broken up nature of it made their sketches feel even more sort of half finished and half arsed (which they don't when it's a sustained show I think.)
But what do I know! _________________ I am here. |

Thought it was ace!! Particularly loved the Execution sketch, was brilliantly filmed.
Nick Helm is great all the time, so thumbs up in that dept... _________________ The HaHa Club – Chorley, Leyland, Wigan, Burnley, Preston, Longridge, Burscough, Salford, Aughton, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Bromsgrove, Chester, St Helens, Warwick, Solihull, Huntington, Peterborough, Epsom, Brighton, Arundel, Ffos Lass. |

I liked it. Would like to see more of Wit Tank and Jigsaw, hope they're in every episode.
Russell Kane's stuff is helpfully in two small, easily fast forwardable chunks, should you like that. I couldn't possibly comment. |

That was the point I was trying to (too) subtly make. Russel Kanes stuff is edgy , crude and not funny. Other stuff on the show was great Nick Helms song excellent (Just watched his poem on Chortle videos - moving and brilliant) but Russell mmmmmm

Other than "2 EPISODES OF MASH" this was a disappointing start to the series.
On the whole, I found the sketches safe and predictable and Russell Kane an unusually irritating host; especially his 'new' routine on 'having a poo at your partner's house'?? Wow, how original an idea is that? And not even a fresh twist to this tired thought. I haven't watched the 2nd show yet but here's hoping the rest of it is a little more watchable. |
