26 venues in 26 nights, all in the M25

Will Adamsdale is to perform a new 26-date tour of his Perrier-winning Jackson’s Way show – every one of them in London.

He will perform the motivational spoof – which revolves around pointless challenges – over consecutive days in January, each at at different venue.

He starts at Notting Hill’s Gate Theatre on the 5th and concluding at the Battersea Arts Centre on the 30th – with gigs under the M40 Westway, and in the front room of a fan.

Adamsdale was the surprise winner of the 2004 Perrier award, after initially arriving at the Edinburgh Fringe to workshop the show for a week. The show was quickly championed by Stewart Lee and was extended to a full run before scooping the festival’s top comedy prize.

Adamsdale said: ‘Jackson demands to be let out of his box every now and then and i felt there was some unfinished business there.

‘A lot of people ask me about the show and I realised that many haven't seen it yet, although they've heard of it. I wanted to do something more than simply another run and thought the idea of an extremely complex and pointless project would be exactly the kind of thing that Jackson would do.

‘A non-stop tour of 26 venues in one city?  It’s heroically impractical and unnecessarily complicated.  In many ways it’s perfect. In many ways it isn't. I'm trying to focus on the former.’

The challenge is being billed as comedy’s equivalent of the 26.2-mile marathon with the slogan: ‘The London Jacksathon: 26(.2) Jackson’s Ways in 26(.2) Jackson’s Days.’Will Adamsdale is to perform a new 26-date tour of his Perrier-winning Jackson’s Way show – every one of them in London.
