Hi guys
I've sent my listings through for Laughter-House a couple of times but can't seem to get my events put on your site.
First of all I emailed listings@chortle.co.uk and then when they hadn't appeared after a couple of weeks I sent an email both to steve@chortle.co.uk and listings@chortle etc but still nothing.
I'm obviously being a bit thick - could someone please tell me the correct email addy and then I'll re-send.
many thanks
Jan

LH,
We have had a similar experience... and I dont want to go all Paul Ricketts but I would greatly appreciate it if someone at Chortle Towers could muster up the enthusiasm to endure what is no doubt a tedious and unrewarding data entry task so that we too may sell some tickets over the holiday season. I have even had enquiries from people asking if we have gone bust?
I suspect there may have been some kind of techical breakdown or that Steve Bennett has a seasonal hangover _________________ I have an unsatisfactory penis but it is the least of my problems.

It's not a case of 'mustering up the enthusiasm' – there are thousands and thousands of listings that we put up without charge; and sometimes we get behind... yes, even to the point where some don't make it in time.
I apologise for that. But lots and lots of hours go into this service, trying to cope with an almost exponentially rising number of gigs. We're always trying to speed up parts of the process, and all I can say is we're doing our best.
One thing that doesn't help is resending listings - it just adds to the mounting pile and means more to double-check against what's already online. Also our email system sometimes groups them together, so it looks like we received the listings more recently that we did, and so you slide down the queue.

I will tell Brian off.
You have to understand that he is old people and doesn't always understand how technology works... _________________ I have an unsatisfactory penis but it is the least of my problems.

I'm worried now... we have no gigs at all on Chortle... Edinburgh is here... maybe I should list them on this thread?

Is there any chance since we have jumped through all the hoops required to fulfill the ludicrously bureaucratic protocols that someone could actually put some listings up?
Of course you dont have to - you can just continue losing market share to ENTS24 and Time Out.
Maybe if I write a correspondence article about my listings that might help? I realise it cant be as important as the endless stream of articles about how the live circuit is dying on its arse... but if someone could find the time now that the Fringe has passed we would be very grateful indeed.
Alternatively if someone could just tell us to fuck off because we're not important enough to list ... it would be so much simpler than this game of eternal procrastination... only send us the listings once ... then we wont put them up ... then we send them again anyway eventually ... then you dont put them up ... then you grudgingly put them up ... why not just say "we dont want to list you"? I'm sure it would be simpler. _________________ I have an unsatisfactory penis but it is the least of my problems.
