Trailer for the US take on The Thick Of It
| Quote: | The first trailer has been released for the US version of The Thick Of It, Veep.
The 90-second teaser put out by HBO shows us Julia Louis-Dreyfus as the American vice-president Selina Meyer fretting over which way to vote and having a speech censored by spin doctors. And there is plenty of swearing bleeped out.
There is also a civil servant from the White House, who appears to be a control freak in the mould of Malcolm Tucker.
Veep has been created by Armando Iannucci, who wrote it with Simon Blackwell, who also worked on The Thick Of It and the movie In The Loop/
Veep launches on HBO on April 22 and will be shown on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
