Pretty much what it says. A friend and I have decided, after many years of thinking, to try stand up. Are stand up/writing workshops worth doing?
If yes, any suggestions for good ones in the Birmingham area would be appreciated.

I think James Cook does one at the MAC, I've been to one of the end of course showcases and that was a pretty good standard. Can't comment on the course content.
In fact just checked and there's a showcase coming up

Perhaps you could pop along, check it out and chat to a few acts afterwards? _________________ Revealing the awful truth about lefty-liberalism... |

James's are really good and well spoken of by those who do them.
And considering they've such differing acts as Jay Handley, Lovdev Barpaga and Craig Deeley graduate from them they're hardly making everyone conform to a certain style. |
